Analog display for digital camera
- Like I said before, the person who came up with the logarithmic pictures left display should win the Nobel prize for camera design. It's both beautiful and extremely functional. That idea should definitely be used in a future product, too.

Camera problem and solution

My initial test was with Rick’s loaner SD1, but recently Rick was also kind enough to loan me his SD1M. In going through my initial offset calibration for my various lenses I noticed that the offset variation was much less than with the SD1. On further testing I discovered that setting the offset to the average variation resulted in a fairly accurate focus at all FL from 5’ to infinity, a much better result than with the SD1.

I think it could easily be just that Rick’s SD-1 was an early body and with the SD-1M they have better consistency in the product. Or that Rick’s equipment is sometimes cursed…
